After nearly a year of searching for property (thank you Jenny at Simply Summit Realty!) We finally pulled the trigger on a nearly perfect lot. Whoa!

Here was our original wish list: 

  1. Stay within our $200k budget for the land
  2. South facing 
  3. A property with a peak view 
  4. Driveway in the back
  5. On a dirt road
  6. Less than 2 hours from Denver International Airport
  7. Minimal HOA limitations
  8. At least .5 acres 
  9. Close to trails and town

So, what did we end up with?

  1. Stay within our $200k budget for the land - ALMOST...purchase price of $210k
  2. South facing - YES
  3. A property with a peak view - YES! Panoramic views! 
  4. Driveway in the back - NO
  5. On a dirt road - NO
  6. Less than 2 hours from Denver International Airport - YES
  7. Minimal HOA limitations - YES
  8. At least .5 acres - YES
  9. Close to trails and town - YES! Only about 5 minutes from National Forest and Target! 

Overall, we're super happy with the property and can't wait to dive into the project.
