When you're leaving the neighborhood, but want to keep the neighbors...

In one week, we'll be leaving the neighborhood.

Our home has been great. We're brought Corbin home from the hospital after he was born to this home, we said goodbye to our darling dog Kona under the tree in the backyard, hosted parties, BBQs, and wonderful family celebrations. Our hearts will always hold these special memories. While we're leaving the house, those good feelings are coming with us to the mountains.

But, one thing that we can't move with us to Summit County are all the other awesome families on our street.

Halloween 2017 with the neighborhood crew!

Watching all the kids grow, change, and become friends has been one of the best parts of living on this street. Impromptu chats out in the street to catch up on life with the adults are great (especially since I started working from home!). And, having a community of other supportive and helpful moms within a few blocks is about the best thing ever.

To our amazing neighbors, we know we won't see you as often now, but please know we're only going an hour away! Keep those birthday party, moms' night out, and chili & whiskey nights for the dads invites coming! We'll happily cruise on down the hill. And, in exchange, we hope that you'll come stay with us for a night, or for the weekend in Summit County. We're always game for bike rides, hikes, ski days, or casual family dinners.

And, when the 9,290 home is finished, we hope to host lots of "let's avoid I-70 traffic" Sunday afternoon gatherings.

Ok. So, I may be a bit teary eyed and I wouldn't have it any other way.
